Getting Started: Please contact me so we can set up a time to discuss your particular garment, decide the best means to obtain your measurements, and determine an estimated cost and a time frame to complete the project. Custom work means these garments are made to fit you personally and we want to be sure they are just right for you!
Please bring any ideas (including photographs or drawings) you might wish to use to your first appointment. Measurements will be taken and details will be discussed at that time. It is important that you bring along all supportive undergarments, underpinnings and footwear you will be wearing with your new custom sewn clothing. Each garment is made according to the specific desires of the customer within the confines of historical accuracy so the final cost will reflect several factors: the amount of detail, the type of fabric and trim as well as the amount of hand sewing. Modern sewing techniques may be employed on interior seams in order to keep costs affordable. If you would prefer all hand-sewing for your garment, please discuss this with me at the time of your appointment.
TERMS: A 50% deposit is due at time of first appointment and the balance due when garment is finished (prior to delivery or shipping). Any design changes which occur after the garment has been started will incur an additional charge to the customer. Please allow approximately 8 weeks for your order from time of first appointment. If you have a concern about meeting a deadline, please let me know prior to placing your order. Custom work requires more time. An additional charge (20%) will be added to accommodate a rush job (anything less than 8 weeks).
METHOD OF PAYMENT: I accept checks (must clear bank prior to starting job or shipping garment), money orders, cash, and PayPal. Customers outside the USA must pay in US funds. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
